Aesthetic Education Institute of Colorado

The intensive Aesthetic Education Institute of Colorado (AEIC) is a seven-day institute with artists in five disciplines, additional work in aesthetics, educational theory and practice, and time for teachers to network and develop specific lesson plans and assessment tools.
AEIC 2008 will be held in Denver from June 17-25, 2008 (weekdays only).

Funding Available
Ask your school, district, or BOCES now if professional development funds are available. Through our partnership with the University of Denver, credits are available at a greatly reduced cost. In addition, some funding from public and private sources provides a limited number of scholarships. Schools that send a team of three or more to an institute qualify for larger discounts.

Think 360 Arts’ teacher professional development programs and services give educators hands-on experience in the visual arts, drama, music, dance, creative writing and aesthetics guided by professional educators and teaching artists.

The programs also instruct teachers on how to incorporate what they have learned into their day-to-day classroom activities and offers graduate and/or certification credit through our partnership with the University of Denver College of Education.

Think 360 Arts offers Teacher Professional Development through introductory full or half-day inservices scheduled at a school’s or district’s discretion. Inservices offer hands-on experiences with artists in two to four disciplines, an Aesthetics session, and work with a Bridge Builder - an educator trained to help teachers make connections from the arts into the curriculum. Inservices can be scheduled for additional days or on an ongoing basis throughout the school year to provide more depth.
