Susan Meyer

fenton.jpg (6488 bytes) Susan Meyer is an installation artist based in Denver.  Her work has been exhibited at a number of venues including the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, the Arvada Center and the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe.  She has been awarded residencies at Pilchuck Glass School, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Ucross Foundation, Sculpture Space Inc., and the Rocky Mountain Women's Institute.  Susan’s Young Audiences residencies include Columbine High School, Morris Primary School (Yuma, CO) and Marvin Foote Youth Services Center (maximum security).  She also served as the visual artist at the Aesthetics Institute in Denver and in the Eastern Plains.  Other teaching experiences include Denver University, Denver School of the Arts, and Berkshire School (college preparatory/boarding).  It is Susan's belief that art can teach us to look, with greater care and insight, at our objects, our surroundings, our beliefs, and at ourselves.
