Rhonda Claridge
Fiction
Rhonda Claridge was born in the Bahamas and has lived for the past seven years in Colorado. She was a 1999 Colorado Council on the Arts Fiction Fellowship recipient. She holds a B.A. in Journalism and Classical Literature from New York University, and an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In 1995 she received the Transatlantic Review Award for Fiction, and CU's Jovanovitch Imaginative Writing Award for Fiction. In 1997 she was the Philip Roth Resident in Creative Writing at Bucknell University. Her story Lukku-cairi won the 1998 Phoebe Fiction Award. Her works have been widely published, most recently in Brick magazine, of Toronto, Canada. She currently teaches English at Mesa State College in Montrose, Colorado, and continues to work on a fiction manuscript.
