Dan Egger-Belandria

Percussion Music

Dan Egger-Belandria is a bilingual (Spanish) percussionist who inspires youth to look at rhythm and multiculturalism as one in the same.  He has lived, traveled, and studied drumming throughout Europe, the Carribean, and the Americas.  This foundation plays an important role in Egger-Belandria as a residency artist, where he integrates music exercises and discussion that promote a better understanding of cultural diversity and how it relates to music and drumming.  In addition to his musical study in places such as Cuba and Brazil, Egger-Belandria holds an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a B.A. in English and Spanish from Saint Louis University.
