In the 1800's slavery was a part of the south's wealth and income and those who lived under this bondage have amazing stories to tell. The Underground Railroad was a networking of men and women who courageously fought for freedom, and the story of Harriet Tubman is a shining light that VanNessa L. Perry, the "dream dancer" tells us through commentary, music, poetry, song and dance! These performances are to encourage and build empathy through interaction and to help instill respect, for self and others. The goal is to encourage strength to stand against unfairness no matter how popular or unpopular it makes you. This performance is not to be missed! Single Performance: $380 New Workshop! This workshop aims to encourage students to free inhibitions and fly through dance. In this 45 minute workshop students will learn choreography related to the subject and perform it, while having fun in the process.
