Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: The Man and His Speeches
Relive the tumultuous Civil Rights Movement through the dramatic portrayals of two speeches by one of America's greatest orators and leaders.  Students and adults will be inspired by the speeches of I Have a Dream, and I See the Promised Land performed by actor Dwyane Carrington.  Mr. Carrington also gives insight to Dr. King's life and how influences of growing up in segregation in the South set the path of this American icon.

Workshop: I Have a Dream
Mr. Carrington will speak to students about the concepts of civil rights and how it affects us in today's times.  He will conduct an exercise where the students will engage in a mock segregated situation, which will attempt to  illustrate how people react in this situation.  At the end of this workshop, students are encouraged to talk about the experience and hopefully better understand the importance of the advocacy of civil rights.  This workshop is 45 minutes in length and is available for up to 25 students.
