An Insider’s Look at Puppet Culture

To be an effective communicator, the puppet must become a living character, apart from the puppeteer. Bob Aiken the designer, performer, and teacher provides audiences an inside look at four puppet cultures. The puppets live through their puppeteer in their own unique and colorful way.

Tales of Wisdom

A variety of hand puppets and other visually interesting characters tell two stories about gaining wisdom. Willard and the Farmhand are confronted by situations which provide an incite into their puppet natures and an examination of their personal values.

Workshop: Puppet Making

In this 45-60 minute workshop, students experience the hand-puppet making process through using a wide selection of materials and tools. Students make their own puppets to enjoy!

Fee: $340 (or $105 with a scheduled performance)
Grade Level: All ages

Workshop: Greek Myths with Hand and Rod Puppets

In this 45-minute workshop, students will use hand and rod puppets to act out familiar Greek myths that have been condensed into shorter versions. Puppet manipulation, staging and a final performance will all be experienced!

Fee: $340 (or $105 with a scheduled performance)
Grade Level: 6-8
