- I am the 9th grade Art/Digital Media teacher and the Lead Teacher for the 9th grade team, Tasha Compos. This is my 9th year as a classroom teacher. I began teaching at the elementary level, then moved to middle school , and then finally to high school and have also taught art at the college level.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Art from the University of Southern California and a Master's Degree in Education, specializing in curriculum and instruction. In my classes I teach traditional studio arts; drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed-media as well as digital art mediums, such as; graphic design, digital storytelling, and movie-making.
When I am not teaching I enjoy doing my own art, I am a photographer and mixed-media artist. I love being the mountains, and the ocean, playing outdoors and spending time with my family. I live in in Golden with my husband and two sons and two dogs. My favorite photographer is Alfred Stieglitz, I love how he focuses on shape and texture of common objects.

- I am excited to be helping students expand their creativity and communicate ideas through visual images. I believe that the arts are essential to the personal development of young people.
