- Tell us about yourself
- I have been teaching art for 9 years and a practicing artists for 20. I have worked with pre shcool through adult learners.
I have a current Colorado Teachers License with endorsements in Art and Language Arts. I have been trained in the Monart style of teaching and have developed my own teaching techniques drawn from research and experimentation.
I am married and have two sons in college.
- Tell us how you feel about arts education
- It is my passion to share my knowledge about art and artists. To experiment, fail, try again and have success in your creation. My belief is "there is never a mistake in art, only a new dimension". Belief in that knowledge allows a person to throw off the bow lines and really enjoy the process. In the end, they are much happier with their piece.
Creative movement, exploration, tactile, 3-D, recycle and instillation pieces along with traditional two dimensional art are part of m bag of motivators.
