I have a BA in Art History and Gallery Management. I am currently employed at the Denver Art Museum in the Education Department. I am interested in pursuing an advanced degree in the near future.

Tell us how you feel about arts education

I have been closely monitoring the decreasing levels of art education offered through the public school system. I believe strongly that all students can benefit from arts education in some way-- the arts make vivid the fact that neither words in their literal form nor number exhaust what we can know; the limits of our language do not define the limits of our cognition. For policy makers and education administrators not to comprehend, or worse, dismiss, the value of and potential uses of art is highly distressing.
