- Tell us about yourself
- My name is Jody Chapel. I am currently teaching art at Eaglecrest High School in Cherry Creek Schools. This is my second career. I graduated from the Colorado Institute of Art (now Art Institute of Colorado) and my first career was as a graphic and digital designer. I had my own design business for many years and my specialty was in publishing, primarily designing books and book covers. When the Internet wave hit I jumped on and became a digital designer working on websites and multimedia presentations. When that wave crashed I decided a new career was in order and went back to school to get a BFA in Painting and Art Education at Metro State. I am now in my second year of teaching and am balancing that with my own art practice and working on projects that support art education, art educators and youth art programs.
