- Tell us about yourself
- I am an artist living in Denver. I work mostly in watercolor but recently have discovered Acrylics. I also build furniture and sculpt wood.
For several years now I have taught Art in the D.P.S. both as a volunteer and as a paid enrichment teacher. Currently I am teaching a watercolor class at my sons' middle school. I find that working with these kids, while not financially lucrative, is very rewarding.

Arts education is sadly lacking in the schools and this is a problem. Working with kids and watching their Art projects develop has proven to me over and over the importance of a creative outlet in the school day.
A lack of structure and discipline in the Arts classroom is also lacking and is replaced by a feel-good, Little Picasso, type of copying.
