Artist in Residence
Susan Meyer is an installation artist based in Denver. Her work has been exhibited at a number of venues including the Museum of Contemporary Art/ Denver, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities and the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe. She has been awarded Artist-In-Residence Programs at Pilchuck Glass School, Anderson Ranch Art Center, Ucross Foundation, Sculpture Space, Inc. and the Rocky Mountain Women’s Institute.
Through Think 360 Arts/Young Audiences, Susan has led programs in a variety of schools, including Columbine High School, Swansea Elementary School, Lakewood Community Involved Charter School, Morris Primary School (Yuma, CO), Marvin Foote Youth Services Center and La Veta High School. She has also served as the visual artist on the faculty for the Aesthetic Education Institute of Colorado for several years, as adjunct lecturer at the University of Denver, adjunct instructor at the Denver Schools of the Arts and faculty member at the Berkshire School.
It is Susan’s belief that art can teach us to look, with greater care and insight, at our objects, our surroundings, our beliefs and at ourselves. Susan received a B.S. in Studio Art from Skidmore College and an M.F.A. from Tufts University and the Boston Museum School.
