Experience a visit from the real D.W., also known as Kim Brown, who is the sister of Arthur creator, Marc Brown! D.W. will share a wealth of information as only a sister can do while inspiring students to read, write and draw.
Learn how characters are based on real people from childhood, see photos of where D.W. and Marc live and work, learn how Marc Brown writes a story and illustrates a book from start to finish using original sketches from actual books he has written; watch a show of Arthur in the famous Macy’s Day Parade and learn how to draw Arthur on your own through an eight-step formula. Bring your own Arthur book and even get a stamped autograph! This program is excellent for library programs and schools!
