Harriet Tubman Ballet: The Underground Story
In the struggle to end slavery in the United States, The Underground Railroad was a network of men and women who courageously smuggled African Americans from the South to freedom. VanNessa L. Perry, the ‘dream dancer’, tells the story of Harriet Tubman, one of the Underground Railroad’s most famous leaders, through commentary, music, poetry, song and dance. Student involvement enhances their understanding of the history of the period, and builds empathy and respect for self and others.
Single Performance: $350

Single Workshop Experience

Choreography, Movement & Dance
This workshop aims to encourage students to free inhibitions and fly through dance. In this 45-minute workshop, students will learn choreography related to the subjects they are currently studying and perform it, while having fun in the process.
