You are invited to Arts Advocacy Day on February 26, 2010 at the Denver Art Museum and the Colorado State Capitol. Proposed legislation for the 2010 session will include bills on arts education, public art, creative industries and film incentives. The day will include the presentation of the Governor's Arts Award to a Colorado city for their efforts to enhance the vitality of their community throught the arts.
Denver Art Museum:
Schlessman Hall, North Building
100 West 14th Avenue Parkway
8am-8:30am: Registration
Join us for breakfast and an opportunity to network with fellow arts and creative industry advocates from Colorado.
8:30am-10:30am: Hear from Colorado Creative Leadership (leaders in Colorado arts educationand the creative economy)
State Capitol:
10:30am-12:15pm: Meet with legislators at the Capitol
Walk to the capitol for a morning of direct lobbying with your legislators- call them NOW and make an appointment.

12:15pm-2pm: Lunch and Awards Presentations
Join us for lunch with colleagues and legislators and to honor exemplary arts advocates.
